Universal Fibre Optics are specialists in conservation lighting for museums and galleries. We have a range of original products including the unique hermetic fittings, light tubes and light wands and specialist cabinet mounting extrusions with articulated fittings.
With their extremely low heat and UV output, fibre optics will not damage delicate items on display making this technology ideal for lighting rare books and manuscripts, paintings, textiles and any other item prone to degradation by light. There is a choice of colour temperatures available and many light sources can be optionally made dimmable.
We work with museums, galleries or display case manufacturers to develop custom made systems to suit each installation.
